LaNette is married to Randall Hester, an Elder at the Tabernacle of David Worship Center, Lansing, MI. (Pastor Larry M. Trice, Jr.) and together they have 6 children. She is currently a minister and a Praise and Worship leader at the Tabernacle of David Worship Center with over 25 years music ministry experience.
“I’m Comin’ Out” her debut concert in April of 2007 received an overwhelming response and helped to raise money for her c.d. project “A Piece of My Destiny”, a 3 track demo. The completed project, “My Destiny” was officially released February 2009. June 2011, she released her three track c.d. entitled, "Duty Driven".
Coming soon; her sophomore c.d. project, “Take Your Burdens to the Lord” and her gospel musical stage play, “Beauty for Ashes”.
As a studio vocalist for several years, LaNette has done television and radio commercial jingles. In addition to Mrs. Hester’s rising music career, she was a finalist in the Sing Lansing Contest and sang with the Greater Lansing Symphony Orchestra at the Wharton Center in East Lansing, MI in 2001. She was the winner of the first Lansing’s Search for a Star Contest 2003 and has shared the same platform with gospel greats such as Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin, Vickie Winans, Micah Stampley, Earnest Pugh and Dorinda Clark-Cole. Most recently LaNette was a special guest on the WDWO TV-18 station, Detroit, Michigan, where she was interviewed by National renowned gospel recording artist Evangelist Dorinda Clark-Cole. She was privileged to minister in song for the Dorinda Clark Cole Show and The Pastor Larry Mack Show on the TCT Network.
God has entrusted LaNette with this gift of ministry in song. She endeavors to be a yielded vessel that God can use to reach the physically & spiritually sick, hopeless and lost! When asked how she feels about the mandate that has been placed on her life, she says, “I want to always be in a position, a posture, an intimate place in God so that at anytime He can count on me to obey Him to be a blessing to Him and to His people. I want to move and flow “under the influence” of the Holy Spirit; to bring heaven’s music to the nations!”
